Grips as essential components in the industry
Grips are part of our flexible system of standard parts and are part of operating and locking elements. They are used in a wide range of applications where manual operation or control is required.
The variety of our range and the standardised design allow for a wide range of applications in industrial areas.
norelem has many different operating and locking elements for you on offer. Such include pull handles, arched pull handle, palm grips and star grip.
Palm grips are used in situations where a particularly firm grip and precise turning are required. They are perfect for adjusting machine components.
Star grips, on the other hand, are preferred due to their symmetrical shape when high force transmission by hand is required. They are mainly used for tightening or loosening screw connections.
Pull handles and arched pull handles are similar in basic shape, but differ significantly in function and area of application.
Pull handles feature a sturdy construction and are mainly used where stability and resilience are paramount. They are often mounted on the surfaces of toolboxes, machines or drawers and are made of sturdy material that is suitable for high loads.
Arched pull handles, on the other hand, are narrower and more aesthetically pleasing. Their curved or stylised shape is more visually appealing, but they are just as sturdy as pull handles. Many arched pull handles are therefore also suitable as furniture handles. However, norelem specialises in grips for the industry. Our grips, made of thermoplastic, can, depending on the style, be fitted from the operating side.
We will provide further details on all other aspects of pull handles and arched pull handles later in this text.
All of these types of grip play a key role in industrial production. Their standardisation allows for seamless integration into existing systems and ensures reliable use over a long period of time.
Do you need a grip but don't yet know which type of grip is right for your application?
What is a pull handle?
A pull handle is a U-shaped or arched handle made up of a grip attached to two vertical brackets. This allows for stable and ergonomic handling.
Pull handles are used in industry to facilitate the opening, closing, or carrying of drawers and other industrial equipment. Their characteristic arch ensures secure and comfortable grip, which is particularly important when handling heavy or bulky objects.
Pull handles are made of sturdy material such as stainless steel. This means that the standard parts can guarantee a high level of stability even under demanding conditions such as extreme temperatures, humidity or mechanical loads. Due to their resistance and durability, pull handles are particularly popular in industry. Especially because they do not lose functionality despite intensive use.
Various pull handles of the norelem range
Our range includes a total of 59 different pull handles. Depending on the design, they are made of different materials, each with specific properties.
norelemoffers pull handles in the following materials:
- Steel
- Stainless steel
- Polyamide
- Grey cast iron
- Thermoset
- Aluminium
- Thermoplastic
- Polypropylene
- Free-cutting steel
- Polyphthalamide GF50
Use the filter option to select pull handles with the following cross-section:
Key data such as spacing of bore hole, fastening hole, length and load capacity can also be narrowed down by using the filter option.
Depending on the design, the individual grips can be mounted from both sides, meaning the operating side, or the rear.
Advantages of pull handles
Pull handles have a lot of advantages. We have compiled a list of the top five for you.
- Our antistatic pull handle offers safe handling in electrostatically sensitive environments. This standard part prevents the accumulation of static electricity.
- A plastic pull handle is highly temperature resistant.. It is specifically designed for use at high temperatures and is able to withstand continuous operating temperatures of up to 160 °C. This makes the grip perfect for applications in hot environments.
- Pull handles are available in different colours which allow for easy identification and organisation. Distinctive colours are particularly advantageous in areas with different functions or safety requirements.
- Pull handles provide comfortable and secure hold. This allows for easy handling even with heavy or bulky objects.
- Each individual pull handle can be installed quickly and easily. This increases production efficiency and facilitates maintenance of standard parts.
What are arched pull handles?
The arches pull handle is another handle shape and joins the star grip, cross grip and pull handle. It is also part of operating and locking elements and may be used as a furniture handle. Arched pull handles by norelem feature an ergonomical design and are primarily used in many industrial applications. The special shape ensures comfortable, non-slip handling and a secure grip.
The norelem range includes three different kinds of arched pull handles. All three thermoplastic arched pull handles have a load capacity of 1000 N. The grips are available in different styles and sizes to meet different requirements. The arched pull handles with U-profile can be mounted from the operating side and are available in black and grey-black. |
